Agronomic Interpretation

Carrabiitol-treated plants showed higher relative water content (RWC) compared with the control, indicating an improved ability to maintain plant water status under stress conditions.

The treatment also resulted in higher proline accumulation, indicating enhanced osmotic adjustment and activation of the plant’s stress-response mechanisms. Proline plays an important role as an osmoprotectant and antioxidant, helping plants maintain cellular stability and protect against oxidative damage during stress.

These findings indicate that Carrabiitol enhances osmoprotection and supports the plant’s physiological resilience to abiotic stress.
